In November 2021, Freddie and I embarked on a new and exciting adventure that would change our lives forever. After years of walking dogs for family, friends, and friends of friends in my spare time, I realised just how much happiness, fulfillment and pure joy I felt around dogs - honestly, possibly even more so than people!

Thats when I had a lightbulb moment… “Why don’t I turn this passion into my full time career!?” I thought - something that felt like a bold, almost out-of-reach idea at the time. But dreams have a funny way of taking hold, and before I knew it, I was all in. Fast forward a few months, a bunch of qualifications and a global lockdown later, everything started falling into place and suddenly my dream of working with dogs started becoming a reality.

Freddie, my lovable, loyal and slightly mischievous rescue pup from the amazing Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary, is my trusty sidekick and the heart of Martyn’s Mutts. Freddie has been my greatest teacher and inspiration along this incredible journey, helping me put my knowledge and skills to the test every day, learning all things about dog behaviour, training and care. Together, we’ve built Martyn’s Mutts from the ground up, a dream turned reality that now means the world to both of us.

Since then, we’ve had the pleasure of working with countless incredible dogs (we stopped counting ages ago!) offering everything from group walks to personalised behavioural consultations. Each dog has added something special to our pack, teaching us as much as we’ve taught them. Whether it’s a shy pup who just needs a little confidence boost, or a high-energy pooch ready for an adventure, Freddie and I pour our hearts into making every dog’s experience exceptional.

And we’re just getting started! Our dream is to expand the Martyn’s Mutts pack and bring joy, love and positive change to even more dogs (and their humans!).
